SOHO Italia
The project: SOHO Italia is a modern 30-storey multi-residential tower with more than 260 units, the first phase of a development of three towers totalling more than 700 units. The developer wanted to offer a high-end residential experience based on a unified, reliable and scalable security and access control system.
The challenge
The main challenge came from the use of technologies from several manufacturers (smart intercom, Assa Abloy unit locks, basic access control) that did not integrate properly with one another. This situation led to significant delays, unforeseen costs and software compatibility problems. A critical issue was the ability to offer a single access card allowing access to both the common areas and the units.
The solution
Thanks to the collaboration between GMS Security, ICT and Inaxys, an integrated solution was deployed using Protege GX in a multi-site architecture. A custom encoding solution made it possible to securely write ICT data onto third-party access cards already used for the unit locks.
The result: a single platform, one access card for all resident access and centralized management for the entire project.
The result
This achievement improved the resident experience, reduced the administrative workload and reassured the developer about the reliability and scalability of the solution. Following this success, the client decided to standardize all the upcoming towers on the ICT ecosystem.
