An entry intercom system allows your occupants or your staff to communicate with a visitor and control access to the building without moving. Simple, effective, and clearly more secure than an unlocked door.
The classic wired system works autonomously, independently of the public telephone network. It is permanently installed at the building entrance and allows direct voice communication between the visitor and the occupant or the reception desk. Reliable, proven, with no dependence on the internet.
The new generation of connected intercoms adds video, remote access and mobile management. From anywhere in the world, you see who’s ringing at the door, communicate by video and unlock the entrance from your phone.
It’s also possible to grant temporary access to a visitor for a defined period and to send them this access directly via the mobile app or a QR code. Convenient for deliveries, contractors or occasional visitors.
Selon les systèmes, l’intercom peut être intégré à votre système de contrôle d’accès pour centraliser la gestion des entrées. Intercom, contrôle d’accès et serrures électroniques peuvent fonctionner ensemble sur une seule plateforme.
The wired intercom works in a closed circuit, without an internet connection. The cloud intercom adds video, remote management and access via mobile app. The right choice depends on your needs and your infrastructure. Your GMS advisor can guide you.
As a general rule, a cloud intercom does not work for remote functions (mobile app, smartphone calls, video) if the internet is down. However, if the intercom is configured on a local network (LAN), the physical unlocking and the indoor monitors can keep working, but the mobile alerts will be lost. Your GMS technician explains the redundancy options during installation.
Yes. An intercom system can manage several entry points and be connected to several indoor stations or several mobile phones depending on the configuration chosen.
